With a long history of seaside experience, Patrice Reese loves the waterfront. With a Marine father and Navy Office husband, her art has been a roadmap of her travels, as well as a refuge when times were tough. Reese continued to paint in watercolors, teach and raise a family through transfers, deployments and togetherness.
From California to South Carolina, to Maine, the variety of backdrops in life have provided a full array of images for her canvas on which she shares her history. Reese believes that trying something new artistically is a way to keep your soul awake.
“All my life I have been told to paint what I “know and feel” rather than what I “See.” It has only taken five decades to learn how to follow that advice.”
